Stadsdriehoek
This is your neighborhood if you like bustle and architecture. The Stadsdriehoek is the medieval heart of Rotterdam, which was then bounded by the triangle of the Coolsingel, Goudsesingel and the former Maas. Here the foundation for a world city was laid with the building of a dam. You don’t see anything of that anymore, because the bombing of 1940 wiped out almost everything. Fortunately, the people of Rotterdam lived up to their motto ‘Sterker door Strijd’ and rebuilt the city in no time. In the district you will now find numerous architectural highlights, such as the Cube Houses, the Market Hall and the Timmerhuis. The district shares the shopping center with the well-known Koopgoot and Lijnbaan with the Cool district. Here you will be surrounded by the hustle and bustle 7 days a week, with shops for everyone. During the week you can stroll through the market on the Binnenrotte and in the evening you can enjoy yourself in one of the many bars, pubs and entertainment venues or enjoy the impressive skyline.
