Oude Noorden
You won’t find much more Rotterdam than the Oude Noorden, a neighborhood that is bustling and where every corner is different. The Pijnackerplein with its classical music dome is a cultural hotspot for musicians from the area, while the Brancoplein is an oasis of peace. The origin of the district lies at the prison on the Noordsingel. The characteristic winding streets, despite the urban plan that was there at the end of the 19th century, were created because landowners developed themselves. Today, that result is highly valued.
