Feijenoord
Feijenoord is named after the former island of Fyen Noort, which was in between the river and Zwanengat. The district is nestled between railways and ports, part of which is now filled in and built on. A lively, multicultural neighborhood with a wide range of houses where the cheers from stadium De Kuip can be heard every two weeks. 800 new homes will be built on the Kop van Feijenoord near the Piekstraat. In this hidden part of Rotterdam in a beautiful spot on the Nieuwe Maas, the municipality wants to create a living and working area. The national monument Villa van Waning has been transformed into a special catering facility and is located in the middle of Feijenoord in the Nassau Park.
